Artworks in progress...

Before firing stage:

-Jar-

-Ladies pot-

-Touch of antique-

-Wall relief-

-Textured jar-

Some main characteristics of the artworks above are: shaping in coiling technique (except the relief); natural terracotta color or natural white surface with terracotta slip; decoration includes sgraffito technique, carving, texturing and burnishing in semi dry and dry stage. Combination of these techniques gives contrast and two-tone look on the natural color surface.
Next is firing, sooooo more about this after ;)

For start...

Let me introduce you to my pottery style:

As all my pots, these are too made in ancient technique of hand building with coiling. Through the years of working and experimenting with clay, this prehistoric technique has definitely become my favorite. As I already wrote in about page, what keeps me dedicated to it, is a huge range of possibilities, freedom in modeling and it's ancient spirit.
Anyway, pots above are from my older, as I call them: " Red and rustic" and In white" one series.
And what I'm working on...

And finally! My first blog post...

Wellcome!
As you could figure out from my blog title and about page, my main occupation is pottery and that is the subject I'll be mostly writing about (my experience and interests in this field and my way of giving shape to the clay). Anyway, beside pottery I'm doing other creative things too, and through the future postings I will do my best to take you into my crafty world. Sooooooo if you are interested at least a bit hop in! :)
